Feeling a bit rusty at these recaps. Plus, I want to download and watch the epi again. Here are my knee jerk reactions with only one (gasp!) watch through…

1. It’s all about course correcting. They do have to go back. Charlie told Hurley. Jack said it to Kate. Hurley told Jack. They have to go back, they need them. They must go back and save the other survivors. Man this is going to be so good and boy will Jack owe Locke a big apology.

2. Oceanic Six. Guess the rumors are right. Six get off the island. For now at least. Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Jin and Sun. That is my guess.

3. I loved the symbolism of the knife in Naomi’s back.

4. Did you see the picture on the chalkboard behind Hurley when he was talking to the scary eye’d fake Oceanic lawyer? I saw a shark and a palm tree. Will need to screencap that.

5. No one gets left behind. In the end of last season Kate tells Sawyer they have to go back (to the beach). Sawyer told her that there’s always someone to go back for. Kate always goes back. Live together, die alone. I think it’s pretty obvious that they are going to find a way back to the island.

6. Desmond saw Claire in one of his *visions* getting rescued in a helicopter. They all know about Penny. I think Penny will be the ticket back and my guess would be Kate, being the one that always plans the rescue, will contact her back on land to make it happen.

6. Man Charlie looked good. I hope he shows up more in the flashies (can’t just say forward or backwards now).

7. Loving Hurley at Jacob’s shack. Was it Locke’s eye that Hurley saw? Was it Christian in the rocker? Again, totally needing those screencaps. Will do a follow up blog for those kinds of tibits. Why did the shack disappear.

8. I can’t wait to hear Locke’s explanations for what he’s been up to. I was so glad to hear they were headed back to the barracks. But where did the Others go? What is the temple? Anyone on the island wondering this? Maybe Locke already knows.

9. So I’m wondering if a deal was struck for the Oceanic Six that they would be rescued but that they couldn’t tell that there were other survivors. Maybe Jack thought he’d lie his way back to land and then organize another *army* to go back and save the others. Something must have happened though because he was hell bent on saving everyone. Something has them all scared.

10. I can’t imagine that the Oceanic Six will get off of the island this season (even if we would have had the 16 episodes). That is a lot of main characters to take off of the show.

11. I also was very surprised to see that Rose agreed to stay with Jack. What about the cancer? Won’t it come back if she leaves the island?

12. I still think in the end that some of the Losties are going to chose to stay on the island.

Goosebumps already!

Got thinking…. it’s the Cliff Notes of Lost. We’ve spent three years watching, speculating, thinking, talking….. etc… to get to this point. Anyone out there who hasn’t watched each and every episode up until now I highly recommend doing so. You cannot possibly get the joy from this show just by watching this recap.

Not a spoiler.

On the eve of this special day and watching the dumbed down “enhanced” version of Through The Looking Glass, I had some thoughts.

I checked tomorrow night’s listings and the Lost premiere should be ratings gold I tell you! Ratings gold! Rerun of CSI - it was a dumb one the first time around. Celebrity Apprentice - do I need to say anything? Don’t Forget The Lyrics? The writers strike sucks but I think it might breathe some life back into the show (with nothing but crap on opposite) or should I say, some viewers might come back to the show. It’s like heroin, once they get a taste, they’ll be hooked.

I forgot how mad I was at Bernard.

I saw an old episode of House the other night and saw Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet) playing a nun. It was very odd seeing her again tonight as Juliet.

Speaking of House, Jack becomes a pill popping doctor in the future. This could work! I see a spin off in the future.

Did you see the “Bad To The Bone” commercial featuring Sawyer? Love it! I’ll post once I find it.

Whatever happened to the barefoot “others” that Jin and Eko saw? These Others are much more civilized. I’m thinking, knowing what we know about Ben now, that perhaps they are the remaining members of the real Dharma Initiative?

Did you like the words during the show? We have a winter weather advisory that keeps flashing across the bottom, but it doesn’t appear that I’m missing too much.

It’s only 1/2 over so there may be more to add, but I’m closing up the Gitsie blog for the night. I warned my boss that I may be calling in on Friday from a Lost hangover. He hasn’t known me the past 3 seasons so I’m not sure he knows that I’m serious. But I will talk to you tomorrow night.

*One more thing - why do people scoff at my excitement over the Lost premiere but a football game is something to stop the world over?*

** Baby Aaron is crying right as Charlie is drowning.  Naomi asks what is wrong with him.  Hmmm, something special perhaps?**

I think that Locke can see the future.

Here me out on this….

Locke comes up as Naomi starts to radio the boat and kills her. Jack then has the radio. Why not kill him? Why tell him “You’re not supposed to do this Jack,” then walks away. What does he know?

Locke sees “big” Walt. The writers say that Walt’s growth will be explained. Is this future Walt? (yeah, yeah, it’s probably black smoke Jacob but it also fits my theory!).

We’ve seen false prophets (Claire’s psychic, Desmond’s fortune teller) so it’s as if we’ve been set up to question soothsayers. Which makes for a perfect conundrum if we find out Locke, not just Dessy, can see the future. My guess would be that Locke’s probably not even cognizant of this ability.

“Theresa goes up the stairs. Theresa goes down the stairs.” Could have been Locke’s first vision. Dead Boone.

Either that, or he’s using a whole lot of that wacky paste.

Several things! Johnny Depp is so f’ing cool (just like the Lost cast). The movie rocked (just like Lost). And, most importantly, I got to see the extended season 4 Lost promo before the movie! I would totally pay full ticket price to see the premiere in the theater. Now, if we could just get Johnny to guest star….
