They cant just be getting one or two... There were so many... didnt the he tell Barbie that when one bites it sends a smell or signal out to all the other spiders around to come swarming (I'm not quoting directly - obviously). I never knew. But interestingly enough my boyfriend was telling me a few weeks ago that him and his friend think Tom might be gay. When Kate is supposed to change into the dress, he tells her not to worry about him checking her out. "Believe me, you're not my type." At the time I just thought it was funny cuz Kate is in that stupid love triangle, so he's kind of telling her she's not even that hot. But now I think the way he said that could really indicate something else. Apparently he also said something else that made them think he might be gay, and they were thinking that could be the reason he'd be on the show, cuz there's nothing else that is interesting about him. But I had to remind my bf that Tom was already in season 2 and the thing about him could have just been how different the role he played in season 2 is from his real personality in season 3. However, if there's really supposed to be a gay character on the show, I think it's very likely that that would be Tom. There’s a supposed to be a gay character?! I never knew. They've announced a fourth season (haven't we all been saying five since season one when the producers said they were only going to do five) so you have another year to get your trust back. I hope Boone WAS the gay character, because I will just be irritated if a big deal gets made out of some other character being gay. I don't get why it matters. The only time anyone else's sexual orientation matters on Lost is when they're involved romantically with someone, so the show would need TWO gay characters. But honestly, I'm so tired of the Triangle and C/C and Jacket; this show doesn't need any more heavy handed romance plots, which a gay romance would almost certainly be. If you listen to the most recent official podcast they say that the plan was always to do a Redshirt episode, and that's why Pikki were introduced, and they were always meant to be buried alive. And two characters getting buried alive seems exactly like something Darleton would really love, so I buy it. Dialogue from the Ben/Juliet Pearl scene:

All I could think what the it was self-indulgent. Some head writer has always wanted to do a "buried alive" show and came up with some stupid, contrived way to do it. I agree that it looked too much like a re-write of the shows history. And why would Ben reveal anything to anyone???? I hated last night's show and hope Nate is right about something big coming.
