Firstly I think that no matter what Sawyer "does" to Kate she would still be upset to hear he's dead, not offended as she seems. Also, this show has been about redemption from the very begining. They have shown us Saywers past and the reason's he is the way he is, and they have also shown him paying for his actions. I don't think they would go through all that to have him die hated and alone. I think the dead man is either Ben or Locke...I'm leaning towards Ben. Jack want's to go back so he is upset that Ben is dead becuase he may be the only one that can take them back to the island, Kate would obviously be mad cuz Ben's a big crazy.
