GG, I like #16 about how maybe Jack thinks he "persuaded" Locke to kill himself. I never thought of it that way.
I also was not satisfied with how much of Jeremy Bentham's life we saw. I think the whole thing in the will about him being survived by a teenage son is something that Widmore put in there to make him seem like a normal person. unless maybe Locke does have a son and nobody knows about it. Maybe that will come into light but i don't think it will have enough time to go anywhere.

Alex G., that's a good thought. Maybe he has something to do with Helen's death but just doesn't know it. But would someone who comes to the island in that way be that effected by the time flashes.

Something i want to know is--are Sun and Lapidus the ones who were shooting at the sawyer and co. or do the shooters think that's who sawyer and co. are? That's of course assuming that the woman Lapidus sailed off with is Sun.

GG, your Helen ideas got me thinking.

Suppose the time travel does continue in some capacity on the island. At this point, I think this much is a given. Knowing that there is a so-called "magic box" that can give you whatever you want on the island...is it possible that, at some point after Locke returns to the island, but in a time before he originally visited the cemetery (say, 2005), she appears on the island courtesy of the "magic box"? We already know the island is capable of giving John people from his past. And what might be the only thing missing from John's life (once he's back)? Helen. Imagine John getting to bring Helen to the island, only to have something tragic happen (like with Charlotte). A brain aneurysm due to violent shifts in time. She dies. Somehow her body is brought back to the real world and buried in 2006...before John ever originally saw it. Ties up neatly, wouldn't you say?

It's a big stretch, but when I started thinking about it, it seemed plausible.

Ok, so this post doesn't really have a point...but I was riding on the couch riding out a snowstorm yesterday, watching the Ben Stiller/Edward Norton movie Keeping the Faith. There is one part where they are in a music store buying a Karaoke machine. The salesman looked awefully familiar...but I coudn't quite place him. Then it hit me....It was Miles!! Like I said, no point at all, just thought it was funny.

It's the first theory from me since the beginig of Lost, but it is an idea that came to my mind, after watching all these shots of yours, of Lock's four-fingered foot. You say that it is funny more than meaningful, but what if this statue-foot is indeed Lock's and has been built years, perhaps centuries ago (considering the time travelling), when Lock was the leader of the ancient civilization that inhabited this island.

Just a thought..

keep blogging :-)
