I noticed that Walt proclaimed that they (THEM) werent what they said they were. And that they had him taking tests all the time. Wonder if they have him on a computer - able to contact Michael at the other hatch. Makes me think they (THEM) are doing social test on the people and they are the remnants of the original crew assigned to the island for the over all “Project”.

I still have to think that The Others - or, AN Other, was typing to Mike. They had him under observation so they knew the score. I think that Walt can project himself for sure and somehow he was sneaking away and trying to communicate with the survivors.

BUT, excellent thoughts on who these survivors - these Others - might be. It would make sense with their apparent penchant for experimenting.

Hmm… Maybe something really *did* go terribly awry on the island and because of all the tests within tests within tests, everybody still thinks that whatever happens is a part of the “grand scheme” whatever that may be - so they keep playing their roles waiting for the end.

Remember the voices in the jungle? All the backwards whispering… Maybe they’re trapped somewhere somehow and f’ing annoyed that all these “others” on the island are too dense to realize that this isn’t part of the “test” or “experiment” or whatever anymore.

ps - weird that you have a serious conversation started after a red lobster joke. food was good. waitress was a little dense. but hey, the appetizer was free. ;-)

i wondered about the computer thing too. “Walt” seemed really sterile on the computer. Seemed too cut and dry, unemotional; very much the opposite of the “i love you dad” Walt we saw in the crazy Others sweatlodge…

  6. Scott Cramer Says:

Yeah, plus we have to remember in the “sweatlodge” that he blurted out that this wasn’t what the others were like, and that they were “just pretending” - remember the whole fake beard and costumes that Kate found in the medical hatch. What *REALLY* bugs me is that Michael shot Ana-Lucia (well, I wanted to see her go but…) and they havn’t given any good excuse yet for us to forgive him. He could have tried to knock her out or trick her out of the hatch, or something! Nope. Bang. Yeah, Walt is going to be REAL proud of him for that one.

  7. Erich Says:

Good call about the “Others” being the one’s typing the messages. Plus with the ability to see whom was sitting at the computer they could taunt Michael into typing and replying.

Another good thought about why Michael didnt just knock out Ana-Lucia, but the “Other” they had captured, his name slipping my mind right now, tried to kill her, and not Locke. I am thinking they wanted her dead for some reason. And that Michael may have been told to kill her as another part of his “mission” from the others. And Libby was a mistake, wrong place wrong time.
