Initial Thoughts: Something Nice Back Home
1. Nice eye opening Jack.
2. Also, nice reminder that Jack promised to get them all off of the island. Yeah, yeah, we remember Jack, you are the hero who saves everyone.
3. I liked how Jack said “Son of a bitch!” when he kicked the toy. That is one of Sawyer’s catch phrases.
4. Will need to get a screen shot of Jack’s new tattoo. Did anyone get a good look at it yet?
5. Jack at the trial didn’t want to be around Aaron. Then he does. I’m still interested to see how this works out and why he feels so much guilt around Aaron.
6. I think Jack isn’t supposed to raise Aaron because Claire is. It’s another way of saying that they need to go back to the island.
7. Why is Sawyer so concerned about Claire all of a sudden? All of this time that they’ve been there and now he decides to protect her? Claire has been in danger before. I loved his line to Miles about being the guy that would put a boot in his face if he didn’t stay away from her.
8. Must screen shot when Miles had the hoodie on and was looking at Claire. The first shot looked like a shadow of Charlie was standing there watching her. I wonder if Charlie is talking to Miles and asking him to protect Claire.
9. When Jack was outside of the asylum it looked like he wanted to see Charlie.
10. Juliet surgery - first she didn’t want Jack to see what she was doing and then she had him knocked out. Something is not right with her. We didn’t trust her before and I guess I grew comfortable and trusted her. But now I’m not so sure. I’m not so sure she wants Jack to leave the island and may be trying to stop him form leaving.
11. So now the island wants Claire and not the baby? I’m still chewing on this one and why Christian is now showing up to Claire. Claire didn’t even look that surprised to see him.
12. According to Jack, Sawyer chose to stay on the island. This is going to be interesting to see how that works out. Although, Sawyer has said before that there is nothing back home for him.
13. I think that Miles knows where Claire went.
14. Looks like Horace is going to come and give Locke some information. Remember Horace?

2. Notice how he loudly reminded Kate that *HE* was the one who rescued her from the island, *NOT* Sawyer. Geez, Jack, insecure much?
3. Wonder if that was for fun or on purpose? i.e., A subtle Jack wants to be Sawyer thing.
7. Sawyer is a big softy… kind of like with telling Locke he’d kill him if he harmed one curly hair on Hurley’s head. I think he’s been warming up to people - and Claire - since Hurley conned him about getting “kicked” off the beach.
10. I don’t know that Juliette did anything in the surgery… I think she was uncomfortable with Kate being there knowing Jack still loves her and vice versa. Plus all that screaming in pain and stuff…
Seriously… the whole conversation with Rose and Bernard was quite telling. They brought up the issue of “why” Jack was sick now when the island usually healed you and not made you sick. It made the whole Jack’s got appendicitis thing not contrived. The island was making a point about him trying to get everybody off.
11. Maybe she was hoping he brought makeup.
12. I think Sawyer makes sure Kate gets off the island… and, like Juliette, realized the Kate/Jack thing is still there and he makes a sacrifice to the woman he loves by letting her go with the man he loves. *wipes tear from jaded eye*
Jin makes sure Sun gets off (hey, now!). Kate takes the baby… Umm… So how does Hurley make it on the weight-restricted copter?

Why haven’t you mentioned the shocking revelation that Jack and Claire are brother and sister? Claire sees Jack’s dad with Aaron and says, “Dad?” and when Jack is ranted at Kate regarding Aaron, Jack makes it a point to tell Kate that, “you’re not even related to him!” as if to point out that he is. Good stuff

Joe, we’ve known for a while that Jack and Claire are half siblings. But I don’t think that they know yet.
4 - They never explained the new one on his arm. I’m begining to wonder if he just got a new tattoo and the writers are just ignoring it.
6 - I like you thinking. I don’t think Claire is dead, I think she gave Aaron to Kate to keep him safe until she got off the island too.
7 - I think Sawyer has just become the protector.
8 - I will have to go back and watch that.
10 - I don’t think Juliet did anything. I think she’s trustworthy. Plus we know that she wants off the island, why would she try to keep Jack there? And the island is making Jack sick to try and keep him on the island, Juliet wouldn’t need to help with that.
11 - Why did Claire just go with her dad? Shouldn’t she have questioned why he was on the island?
12 - I knew it! I knew there had to be people that were still on the island, and I knew Sawyer had to be alive and on the island when he wasn’t one of the Oceanic 6.
14 - Thank you! I couldn’t figure out where I’d seen Horace before. I’ll have to go back and watch that episode.

Scott; #12 - EEEK! Sounds too much like a soap opera for me. I was just arguing with someone at work that Lost is NOT a soap opera. So in my own *jaded* heart I do hope there is something more sinister going on with Juliet because if she and Sawyer go soft I’m just going to have to…. well, somehow cleanse my brain. AND…. I go on the record again (yes, I said it in another post) that they are getting out of there on the sub. That is why only six get to go.

I totally agree with your comment about Miles looking like Charlie. I think that was a big clue. Also, Miles said that he “didn’t sign up for this” I wonder if Charlie is somehow “within” Miles.
