]]> by: Phil http://www.gitsiegirl.com/initial-thoughts-the-constant.htm#comment-53702 Sat, 01 Mar 2008 11:36:05 +0000 http://www.gitsiegirl.com/initial-thoughts-the-constant.htm#comment-53702 Just watched it now and it come to me. the rat died because daniel did not carry out what he said he was going to de. he was going to show the rat in one hour how to complete the maze, yet cos the rat did it from the radiation and it's own flash forward it then died, so everyone has a path to follow and i think sayid knows this and is being blackmailed by ben that he has to do what he says (kill who he says) in order to not go mad and die, ben is telling them what their constants are in order to stay alive and the island is keeping them safe or so they think? wow to the writers for keeping me on the very edge bit of my seat i dont normally use that much. and i have started to eat more fish cos that is supposed to be brain food and it helps me thinking more.. keep it up i think it's healthy for my brain. thanks... I guess we're supposed to surmise from this that Daniel's irradiated his mind to some degree, which probably explains the memory experiments that he and Charlotte were doing with the deck of cards. Great, great, great! I don't mind the time travel thing as much as I thought I would. I remember reading and/or watching an interview with Damon Lindelof in season one and he said that everything in the show could be explained. Well, I wondered, how could this be explained. But I'm sure there are lots of theorists out there that can explain time travel. Some people believe in reincarnation and some might even be able to explain through science. But no matter, I don't know that I need it explained to the nth degree. I'm OK with the time travel. I want to believe! Now, about that smoke monster....
