Crazyray, thanks for going out on a limb. Right or wrong, it's cool to peek inside your head for these ideas. I think that Jack has only been off one time, but there isn't any reason for me to necessarily argue against your theory. Maybe the first time he posed as someone else?

GG, the thought has crossed my mind, but I just can't get a real theory going based on the fact that Jack has been off and on the island more than once yet.

What I meant in my last post was that if Jack wasn't part of the Oceanic 6, but gets off the island at a later time, they could still have given him the golden ticket. I just don't think that it's a given that Jack and Kate are part of the 6 yet. That could very well get shot down next week, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

ladynred:
Alex wasn't born on the island. She arrived there when she was a baby... I think it's explained in season 1 or two, don't remember

Isn't it true that all of the pregnant women who give birth on the island die? If that's the case, how is it that Ben's daughter is alive as is her mother? Alex's mother would have had to get prego off the island and end up on the island, but hasn't she been on the island for way longer than 16 years? I'm confused and I think I may be missing something.

Also, do you think it could be possible that Sayid was pretending to be one of the losties the entire time after the others heard the crash? I definitely think he knew naomi, and there is definitely a significance with the bracelet--why was sayid meditating right before he stood up and went over to naomi? I think there is so much there that we don't know about sayid.

The idea that there's more than just the 6 that eventually get off of the island seems pretty popular, and I think I'm gonna jump onto the bandwagon.

As far as Jack being called a hero... for some reason I feel like I remember someone calling him "a hero twice over." But I could be wrong.

To I.M. Naughtwatchin:
Let it go, dude. Posting theories is great, but there's no need to bash other people's theories. And I have to admit... I don't really understand what's the importance or significance of the unraked leaves.

ben linus... There definitely is a time difference on and off the island, but I have a hard time believing that it's 180 times different. My theory is that maybe both of those "clocks" were actually timers that started at 0:00:00 at the same time. When Dan compared them at the same time, the clock that was originally on the island said 2:45:04, while the clock that landed on the island said 3:16:23. (notice the use of the numbers 4, 16, and 23 ;) If my theory is right, time moves 1.1855 time faster off the island. In other words, a day on the island is 1.1855 days off the island (1 day, 4 hours). The only problem with this is that, based solely on seeing the older Walt, time would move much faster than 1.1855 times faster. Granted, we don't know if we actually saw Walt, or if it was Jacob...

I hope that all made sense...

If I remember right he tells Kate that he is using his golden ticket to fly to Japan and back or something like that because he's hoping that he crashes. I know it's an off the wall thought, but he could have gotten that ticket if he got off the island some other time too.

And yes, I think that they come back for the rest of the survivors and that is when Claire gets rescued - like from Desmond's vision.

Crazyray: I think that they are part of the six but it's a very interesting observation. I don't remember Jack saying anything labeling himself as one of the six, but didn't he indicate at one point about being famous or something to that effect? The doctor in the hospital knew who he was (I'm pretty sure he referenced him as a hero). I would think that whoever is keeping the Losties on the island are probably even more interested in keeping those not on the plane there. Imagine the stories they would have to tell -- but how would they ever prove it? I would think a Juliet or Desmond would have to go back very quietly and try to blend back in. Probably how people who see UFO's feel.
