Is Jack In On It?
Sayid and Sawyer aren’t done with Juliet. But what about Jack? He’s awfully anxious to “protect” Juliet and make sure she is comfortable on camp. Ben probably has Jack running part of his agenda too. I don’t trust him.

I agree, Jack may be in on it, he is acting strange. Perhaps he thinks he is doing good by following Ben… going to save everybody somehow, another “deal” in place? I don’t know what to think. But I stand by my Juliet in gas mask observation from last week. Didn’t Ben give her one last night? Rock on GG.

I don’t think Jack is in on it…I think Jack is heart broken. First his wife, then Kate…he may be falling for Juliet…she does some what resemble his ex wife.
I think he trusts her because of those signs she wrote before Jack did the surgery…saying not to trust Ben. But then again, he was playing games or whatever, getting along with everyone when Kate came back for him. So I don’t know.

jack is an other !! watch this thing unfold !! i have no idea what happened in that week between the surgery and disappearance, but by the end of LOST (who knows how many more seasons?), jack will be the hated villian !! the ultimate twist ..
on a more concrete note, HOW ANNOYING IS JACK NOW ?? 1st he tells sayid that juliet is coming with them as if he is sayid’s father and sayid is supposed to just listen to what big, bad jacky says … then he stumbles back to camp and starts telling everyone what to do and what to think !! i cant wait for the inevitable scene where sawyer holds jack down while sayid tortures juliet !!

I’ve thought about all of this. I’ve wondered if Jack has started to work with ‘them.’ The thought makes me sad, but at the same time it is hard for me to believe they told him what they were doing. They aren’t exactly forthcoming. Jack is a bit annoying at the moment yes. I think that he’s feeling very lost right now and since he trusts Juliet, he’s kinda ‘clinging’ to her as part of what little hope he has left. But if he’s part of it, that wouldn’t shock me either.
If not next week, we will soon see a power struggle on the beach camp.
Desmond was the only one who asked about Locke. They were buddies kinda so that makes sense. But no one else took the time to notice.

I think we’re going to see a number of those one on one discussions with Ben - like Juliet’s during the last two minutes. there will be one with Jack, one with Locke, I think we’ll see one from when Kate had lunch with Ben on the beach right after she was taken hostage - I think everyone cut deals with Ben.
Clearly think Juliet wants off the island to get back to her sister. Wonder how much of the relationship with Evan was designed by Juliet to annoy Ben.
have been thinking about parallels with WWII and the Nazis. The experiments with prisoner. The torture. The territoriality. The whole good versus evil conflict.
at least the show makes us think, eh?
apparently it’s the show that is the most DVR’d in history - for everyone who goes through the show frame by frame. way cool.
thanks for the use of the hall, GG!!

I also think jack is somewhat in on it. But i dont see why he wants to get hom eso badly, i mean, whats he got left besides maybe his mom? Maybe he wants to patch things up with Sarah.. but thats highly unlikely. Or maybe he wants to get away from the losties. Like Achura said, being a leader makes him angry. Maybe hes sick of doing everything for everyone on the beach, thats why he was having a ball at Othersville.

As much as the whole thing with Jack is nice and all I want to know more about the Others. I want to know “why” more then anything. Plus we have to remember Clare wasn’t the only women to have a baby on the Island. The French Women 15 - 16 years before had a baby on the Island. The kid that gave the boat to Kate and Saywer. How quickly will that get brought into things.

I believe it was all a plan to get John to join the group since he seems to have a connection with what is actually going on on that island. Juliet get Jack not to trust Ben, causing Jack to sabotage Bens surgery in response giving up Juliet who Ben tells them her to help Kate and Sawyer escape knowing they’d go back and rally the troops with John leading the way back to them. Once she helps them escape, Jack fixes Ben and whadda’ ya’ know, here comes Kate and Sayid being led by John. This way Ben is able to coral John into joining the group willingly in order to “Study” the connection John has with the isalnd.

It seems so complicated and contrived, BlackRouge. Just to get John… When they could have kidnapped him by getting him with the darts then just dragging him off. But then he wouldn’t be as willing to join them. I guess it just seems like ‘too’ much to me.

Andrea - but John is a smart guy. He would be a hard sell. I think complicated and maybe a little too contrived to be true might be the only way to convince him.
Then again, good old John might be running his own game all the way around and we may see some interesting plot twists about who is playing who.
In the end it’s going to come down to good vs. evil - the most simple formula in the universe. I think you’ll be surprised at who is on which team and who is leading each time. Personally, I think they may have already blatantly shown us. John vs. Jack. Who falls where in each camp is a little sketchy, but like God and Satan they’re going to fight over everyones allegiance (souls). Including the others, me thinks.
