Locke Is Creeping Me Out!

Whoa! That look on his face…. almost as creepy as Ben when he was in the hatch. Then hoisting the dead body on his shoulder.

I thought that maybe Sawyer was on the wacky paste but it looks like he really did it. What an intense scene.

So where are they? It’s not HELL! I’ve worked there and I can tell you, the island is not hell. lol But seriously, please don’t start the purgatory stuff. His dad was totally wacked. Maybe it’s not an isolated island, but it’s not somewhere supernatural either. The writers have told us and I believe them.

And don’t trust everything Naomi tells us. Sayid knew right away and started asking questions. He has been right to date so I’m going to watch and see.

Richard set Locke up, too. Maybe they really wanted Sawyer but knew that they couldn’t con the con man.

This was a very powerful episode…! The emotions keep bringing me back.

I stand firm that they aren’t dead. I believe the writers are telling the truth. It may not be actual purgatory, but a symbol of it. (Jack saying in the first season everyone should have the chance at a new beginning)

There’s a lot of symbolism, most of them trying to start new on the Island but their pasts and demons following them. We’ve seen that with a lot of the characters: Eko, Locke, Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurly…

And Jack, well now it is obvious he knows something, or is working with the others some how. If I feel this crazy about wanting more now, I don’t want to know how I’ll feel after the season finale.

  2. Not Purgatory ????? Says:

1st of all - awesome episode last night !!!!!!!

now, it may not be purgatory (and i hope it is not because it is more interesting if it isn’t purgatory) but it very definitely could be !

PLEASE PEOPLE dont believe what the writers say in interviews ! did they promise it to you ?? ohh how sweet .. did they cross their hearts and hope to die too ?? dont be so naive, its hollywood …

lets assume for a minute here … lets just suspend our disbelief like we do with the show and assume a few things here …

they have always said that they knew where they were going with the show before episode 1 ever aired. SO if you accept that as the truth (which may not have been true anyway but lets assume it is) and assume that their idea was a show about purgatory and THEN this cult following happens !!! people watching every second of the show and doing screenshots and analyzing every word and doing timelines and websites and blogs and gitsie girl etc etc etc etc … then people start to think its purgatory and theories hit the internet and people start saying it to other losties and the writers are getting nervous and their master plan is shot to hell in season 1 !! SEASON 1 AND THE SECRET IS OUT !! WHAT A DISASTER !! and then some random interviewer asks the writers if its purgatory !!!!!!!! WHAT ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO SAY ?!?!? hello ?? they gotta lie and do some creative writing and throw people off !! but, then after a long enough time they will come back around to the original plan …

you cant tell me it doesnt make sense … think about it …

with all that said - i hope it isnt purgatory and i hope we have some serious, serious craziness next week !!! i am counting down the hours …

I sometimes wonder if what they tell us isn’t BS. Cause they SAY they had it planned. But they wanted to kill Jack off in the first episode. So if they originally planned it with that in mind, Jack could not have been a big part of the plans, heh. But hey, stories evolve and change all the time.

  4. Gitsie Girl Says:

I would put last night’s episode solidly under “1st Season Good.” Sorry, sorry, sorry. Won’t believe it’s purgatory or hell or some 3rd dimension time rip. Crazy old Cooper (Locke’s dad) could say anything. I think they were messing with us folks! Just when the rumors died down HEY! let’s talk about purgatory again and throw the viewers (screen cappers, time liners, scrutinize everything-ers, like me) off the scent. Yes, we are near the truth so they had to throw the big old red herring in the mix.

Last night’s show was great writing. What fun to watch. After the show, I looked at my wife and mused: “What a shame they wasted a whole hour on Ken and Barbie.” I’m still mystified how the people who can write such great TV as last night, could waste so much air time on crap. But, then, I always loved an enigma.
