Thoughts of Sugar Plum Losties Dance In My Head…

I was looking at my 2007 calendar before I left work on Friday (I took this whole week off, haha suckers!) and was hoping that my daughter took my blatant repeated requests subtle hints that I needed a new Lost calendar. So thank goodness I found this under my tree:

Confessional: Last year I just couldn’t go a whole month of looking at Ana Lucia. So I tore out the Sawyer pix and put it over her. Thinking maybe this will happen again in 2008 but we will see. I ended the year with Jack which struck up conversations with co-workers over Party Of Five Matthew Fox vs Lost Matthew Fox. Mostly agreed his hair is much better now.

My sister told me that her boyfriend, who happens to be Korean, apparently was quizzing who was the best looking guy on the calendar when they took my daughter shopping for my gift. I thought it an odd question until he pointed out that he of course thought Jin was the best looking of all. It got me thinking. Yes, Sawyer is my winner of shirtless yummy award. Jack would have to be who I would pick as all around good guy considering he *seems* to be the aw shucks family guy in *real* life. Hurley is freaking hilarious (check out his blog that is linked here). But…. if I were to meet any of them (their characters of course) in real life I would probably be the most realistically attracted to Charlie. Something about that dorky, dirty, flawed, ex-musician that I know I would find so charming.

And the winner is… charlie.jpg Click to enlarge

And these are the kind of thoughts that intrude into my brain as I work through my Christmas Day sugar withdrawals and I lay here as my stomach starts to go back to a normal size after too much ham and mashed potatoes.

You think Matt Fox is an aw shucks family man in real life? LOL, think again. He’s a partier and a drunk and from what I understand has one of those old school wives who knows her place and lets him skank around. I met him during hunting season in a bar here near where his dad lives. He was mad drunk, which I understand he often is, and is not only a scumbag, but seems to be proud of it. Funny and smart but NOT a nice good guy by any stretch of the imagination.

From what I’ve read, Josh Holloway is a sweetie though who couldn’t be more in love with and kind to his wife. You want a real life aw shucks guy, I’d go with him.

Sorry Shayziep but I’m going to have to argue against you friend.

I have faithfully read US magazine for years and have found a new fascination with Perez Hilton (Lord help me) and I haven’t read anything except positive about Matthew Fox. Now I have never been drunk with him at a hunting lodge (sounds like fun), but a recent article I read with him says he likes to get drunk with friends because it loosens their mouths and he likes to hear what they will say. The guy has been married 14+ years and is a Hollywood star… he must be doing something right. Old school or not, I would think that any woman wouldn’t just *let* her husband skank around for all those years (think Howard Stern).

As much I as enjoy the aesthetic value of Sawyer, I have read that there is some question out there as to Josh Holloway’s faithfulness to his new wife.

    I’d go with Charlie anyway.

It’s so funny how fan biases can create gossip. Matthew Fox is rarely filmed with his wife. He is often filmed at nightclubs, most recently at Tao. He was not with his wife the night we met him and was definitely trying to pick us up with his friend. When he saw we wouldn’t bite (our husbands were out hunting) he roamed off to find other women. He left early without telling his friend where he was going, and believe me he was blind drunk by that point. His friend told us this is the way he lives his life. He likes to drink and he likes women not his wife. In fact, I am not repeating the worst of the gossip I’ve heard, even though it’s entirely believable.

I have no idea where you heard anything negative about Josh Holloway’s faithfulness. His “new” wife is his first and only wife that he’s been with almost ten years. He is never seen without her. Unlike Fox, he brings her to every function. He never lets an interview pass without mentioning her. Everyone who knows them comments on how much they are in love and in synch.

It’s apples and oranges when it comes to Matthew Fox and Josh Holloway. A hound dog with a drinking problem vs. a total sweetheart who hasn’t forgotten his humble roots.

Josh Holloway married his wife in October of 2004.

As he’s said in many interviews, they had lived together five years before that. They got married just when Lost got picked up as a series. It was a gesture of commitment, that they wouldn’t’ split now that they were going from poor to rich. In any case, his devotion to her is legendary. If you look around at Lost Media, for instance, you will have a hard time finding any public appearance he makes where she is not there.

It’s a far cry from Foxy’s behavior. I give him a lot of credit for being a super smart guy though, and even though he’s a boozer and a hound, he still has good sense about staying out of the tabloids. I doubt it will last forever though.
