Lost Clues
For those of you off of work (lucky dogs) and have time to be sitting at your computer reading rather than fighting crowds for the post season sales, here is an interesting little read I found and thought you might enjoy.

‘Lost’ Clues You Can Use
Want answers? You’ll get ‘em! (Maybe.) When Lost returns from a hiatus on Feb. 7, fans will get 16 consecutive episodes, as well as the scoop on Jack’s tattoos, Locke’s wheelchair, and Desmond’s creepy clairvoyance, which exec producer Damon Lindelof says factors ”big-time” into the remainder of season 3. A preview of some other burning questions:
Is mutinous Others doc Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell) a friend to the castaways — or a foe?
”Her agenda is more in line with the castaways’ than we originally suspected, but that does not mean she is not sinister,” says Lindelof. FYI, the Feb. 7 episode is all about Juliet.
How will Kate (Evangeline Lilly) and Sawyer (Josh Holloway) escape Others Island?
Of course, the showrunners wouldn’t tell us — but exec producer Carlton Cuse allows, ”You heard correctly: The Others do have a submarine.”
The Hatch ”imploded,” according to Locke (Terry O’Quinn). Case closed?
Nope, says Lindelof. ”Definitely more to this story. You will get a better picture of what happened when Desmond [Henry Ian Cusick] turned the fail-safe key.”
Who is ”Jacob,” and why is Jack (Matthew Fox) not on his ”list”?
”The answer lies further downstream in the ongoing story,” says Cuse. A clue? Lindelof reminds fans that character names in Lost are not assigned without reason. Yes, that is a clue.

Maybe Jack is short for Jacob? Maybe Jack’s got a doppelganger on the island?

I’m wondering if ole’ Mr. Patch is someone from Danielle’s crew. That would be a cool twist. She *has* to resurface at some point and this would be an interesting story line. She gets him and her daughter back. Maybe he really has *the sickness.*

DiD anyone see in the new episode while sawyer and kate were rescuing alex’s “boyfriend” that on one of the clips in the movie they were showing in the “room” that it said…..”God loves you as he loved Jacob” Jacob is the father of all nations in the Catholic history and was the origin of twelve tribes of Isreal…one of them being for his son Benjamin….A land flowing with milk and honey in great abundance….a connection to the Island of lost perhaps ? Now there is also in Catholic belief in a thing called a remnant….- A small group of people saved by the Lord-…..maybe a connection there with the people on the Island…..also another connection that can be made in religious views is the whole ” the sickness” talk. Now back in the time of Moses there was the thing about the plagues- pestilence being one of them….a sickness that effects all living creatures that gives them boils and sores the eventually kills them….another plague is the death of the first born….maybe something to do with the children being taken…..now this last point has nothing to do with reliigous views but it is something i noticed from last season- In the hatch where Eko and the people from his part of the plane were first staying there was a glass eyeball in the hatch..maybe it belongs to the man that locke saw on the TV monitor in the hatch under the plane Eko’s brother crashed in.

I believe that in the temple lies the fountain of youth. That is why Richard lives forever. It is because he is using it. Ben and Widmore are fighting over the fountain of youth. That is what the war is about. Charles has everything he could want (all the money in the world). He is getting old and the only thing he could want is to stay young forever. People are healed on the island because they drink the water… the water from the fountain of youth leaks throughout the island and cures people. For example.. Rose’s cancer, John’s many problems. This also explains why John Locke and Christian Shepard were standing in the water when they came back to life. The Island only wants certain people to have this fountain of youth. And to get it you must serve the island. The smoke monster is a course corrector that prevents anyone from getting this water. I cannot explain how the fountain of youth is connected to time travel though. The fountain of youth lies in the shadow of the statue. The statue also guards the temple and the fountain of youth.
