Lost Companion
Frankly, it doesn’t matter to me personally what show airs before or after Lost. I TiVo pretty much everything else that I watch because, frankly, I can’t stand commercials. Lost is the only show that I find worthy of watching live and suffer through commericals. I’ve taken to writing parts of my thoughts in this blog during those breaks. After all, Lost is not a show that you watch and then turn off and forget so I don’t like to be distracted by other shows on this special night.
But, this year ABC has yet another show to debut and it is being paired with Lost. “Flash Forward” is based on the sci fi book by Robert J Sawyer (yeah, I found that name to be ironic) in which a science experiment goes wrong and everyone blacks out for 2 minutes in which time the can see 20 years into the future.
The show sounds like it has an interesting premise and I’m sure that I’ll TiVo and watch it. We’ll have to reconvene once it’s aired and discuss it’s potential as a permanent companion for Lost. Or at least, for the next couple of years.

Are you serious?? I read this book right after Christmas. I can’t believe they’re building an entire show around it. It takes places at CERN; they fire up the Large Hadron Collidor in the hopes of producing a Higgs boson. In other words, what just REALLY went down at CERN last week.

Wow, so we may start having flash forwards? Cool!

Haha… not so cool for the people in the book. It was catastrophic! But I’ve been fascinated with the CERN experiment because of this novel (which, at the time, I didn’t realize was based on fact).
