Mr Clucky’s New Owner?
Is that kid supposed to look like Walt (because he sure does)? and the announcer has an Australian accent. Hm, a clue to Hurley’s future home? Or an alternate universe (again, back to the Dark Tower references)? And is Dave standing at the counter right at the beginning?

Here’s a theory, especially considering that we may be seeing Dave back again. The man in black needed a body to take over, but I’m assuming it couldn’t be just anyone, it had to be someone with special abilities (like being able to find the cabin). Besides Ben, the only two we know who can find it are Locke and Hurley. Claire is at the cabin, but she was brought there by Christian. So anyhow, the man in black needs a body but he also can’t directly involve himself in the killing – so there’s Dave, Hurley’s imaginary friend trying to get Hurley to jump off the cliff and kill himself. Sound kind of familiar to Locke getting ready to hang himself? But then Ben talks him out of it only to kill him anyway. But Hurley has been able to resist the man in black, he didn’t enter the cabin when the door opened to invite him in and also didn’t go in when he went back with Locke and Ben. Mr. Ecko, though he didn’t ever see the cabin may have also been someone the man in black was interested in. But he gave the wrong answers to Yemi and then figured out that he wasn’t his brother, so he had to be killed by old smokey. If you remember through the entire 5 seasons, Locke has been influenced the most, by what he thought was the island, but maybe it was always the man in black, preparing Locke.
