I’ve been searching for the name of the song (they play the instrumental version) that plays at the end of the episode “Do No Harm”. I can’t find it anywhere…sounds kind of like a Coldplay song, but it may not be. I think they also play it in other episodes. Please somebody help me!!! I’ve been looking for months!!!

Hm. There is a discussion about it here:

    http://forum.thefuselage.com/archive/index.php/t-10470.html

It is an original composition done for the show.

There is a link within that discussion to someone who recreated the composition in piano. That work is here:

    http://community.livejournal.com/lost_tv/611318.html

They talk in the link about someone who took the 2+ minutes of audio and stripped it out (right before the dialogue started) but that link was no longer working. Grr.

The composer Michael Giacchino has CD’s of his works from the first three seasons. However, I can not tell if the piece is a part of the CD.

    http://www.michaelgiacchino.com/works/lost.html

    Hope this helps…

    Liz:

The track is on Lost Season One Soundtrack, track 20, entitled Life and Death.

The ONLY thing I don’t like about it, is at the very end of the track, the music goes from soft and slow and revs up into that LOST “something is going to happen” mode and then the “BA-DUMP!” sound that they use to end the episodes. In the context of the show, sure great, but as a stand-alone that was silly of them to include.

Recommend editing out the end portion of the MP3 file. Do a search on the ‘net for editors, or here’s one that looks like it might work (I am not affiliated with this program):

    http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-Audio-Dub.htm

Free. And it claims, “The fastest way to edit audio files! Free Audio Dub lets you delete unwanted parts from audio files without re-encoding. And ‘without re-encoding’ means without losing original quality!”

If not that program, there are others… Google is your friend. ;-)
