Ever since the episode where Kate goes to rescue Jack, and we find out that he was actually going to leave the island, I’ve thought something has been very amiss in regard to my beloved Jack. I’m still waiting for the other shoe to drop. No matter, I will always be a Jack girl.

The last 2 epis have been real quality stuff (finally!). Questions based on posts: Why are several people saying that both Shannon and Locke were stabbed – I believed them to be shot; and where does it appear that Desmond goes down to the underwater station… Did I miss that in the promo for the finale??

I have to say that you all that post really rock – I understand this show at a much deeper and more satisfying level than I would just watching it on my own each week, so THANKS to those of you who take the time to post your theories… Even if they don’t come to fruition, you keep me entertained until the following Wed!

Ya, there is a ton of symbolism through cultural and literary references. Even the characters are named symbolically, ie Roussea and Locke. Also, Jack’s last name is Sheppard and he is a leader and a shepherd. There are a ton of Biblical references too as well as references to Stephen King books. Greek mythology also plays a signficant role. For example, Penelope is in Greek mythology and waits for her husband to return from war for like 100 years or something and symbolically Penelope Widmore is waiting for Desmond…I think they do that to make connections.

In response to Foffman, I thought the flashback scence with Claire looked like it had just recently been filmed b/c Claire got bangs this year, and they’re visible in the flashback. I think Walt will have aged if he does appear in the finale. Maybe leading credence to the theory that time passes differently on and off the island.
