I thought that as macho as the make Sawyer’s character that he would not go quietly after Hurley convinced him to be the leader. But alas, the guy seems to be vulnerable just like the rest. I don’t think I’d want to be the leader of this group. I thought that maybe Desmond could take over as the leader but he’s just too obsessed with Penny. If I were on the island, I’d be sticking close to Locke. That guy knows stuff.
I think you (or one of of our cohorts) once conjectured that Hurley would end up being “the Man” – I’m more and more convinced that he’s the prime mover. Little things like getting Jin to go “camping”.
Definitely. I think he is trusted by all so they have a soft spot when he suggests things to them. Hurley is so subtle about it. But I’d still follow Locke if I wanted off the island.
I would trust Hurley no doubt! He’s just the kinda guy to trust. But Locke, yea, i would keep a close eye on him. But the people on the island are’nt exactly “roughing it” on the island, i mean, who would want to leave the island besides the people who actually have someone to go back to. Like Claire, sorta Hurley, Sun and Jin have each other really, and maybe a few others, but the majority dont have anything truely to want to go back to.
