He's just the kinda guy to trust. But Locke, yea, i would keep a close eye on him. But the people on the island are'nt exactly "roughing it" on the island, i mean, who would want to leave the island besides the people who actually have someone to go back to. Like Claire, sorta Hurley, Sun and Jin have each other really, and maybe a few others, but the majority dont have anything truely to want to go back to. I would trust Hurley no doubt! But alas, the guy seems to be vulnerable just like the rest. I don't think I'd want to be the leader of this group. I thought that maybe Desmond could take over as the leader but he's just too obsessed with Penny. If I were on the island, I'd be sticking close to Locke. That guy knows stuff.
